I remember how impressed I was by the original version of "The Other Side of the World" when Lee released that for others to hear long before it was re-done and made a part of the album Pictures In The Hall. The updated version sounds even better. Lee obviously had a great deal of talent and ability. Putting together a 20-minute prog epic almost single-handedly was quite an impressive start.
Things just keep getting better. Pictures in the Hall was a great album, but the follow up, View from the Bridge was even better. Great songwritting, great musicianship, and big improvements in production.
Next came the prog-pop album Idle Noise. Quite different than the first two albums, which were much more in the vein of progressive rock, but still thoroughly enjoyable. Once again, production values were improved. Having Karl Groom lending a hand probably didn't hurt!
From the samples I've heard so far, Black and White will surely satisfy!
